  MATERIALS LEARNED IN UNIT 2 - PLACES 

In unit 2 , we studied  : 
      1.Narrative and Descriptive
      2.Geographical Features
      3.Adjective to describe places
      4.Vocabulary related to places in the city
      5.Simple past tense  & Simple past continuous
      6.while , as and when.
 
  Narrative and Descriptive is tells a story or part of a story , that includes : plot , conflict , characterization ,  setting , theme , point of view , sequence , transitions . Descriptive writing is that vividly portrays a person , place , or thing in such a way that the reader can experience the writer's experience . Sensory language , vivid detail , figurative language , showing , not telling = active verbs.

  Adjective to describe places is word that are used to describe the places for example :
      1. Ancient
       2. beautiful
       3. boring
       4. bustling .

  Geographical features is just the same like the adjective to describe places , it is use to describe places . For example :
  1. canyon

 2. bay

 3. island


  Vocabulary related to places in the city example :
   
  1.Bar


    2.Butcher's

   3.Church

   4.Court

   5. department store .


  For the grammar we studied past simple and past continuous . Past simple is the actions that started and finished in the past . The past continuous is the past actions that were in progress at a particular time in the past .
